Barry is currently Chief Executive Officer of TestEquity (NYSE: DSGR), the industry’s largest distributor of test and measurement solutions and electronic production supplies. From soldering and static control to calibration and precision tools, TestEquity helps customers operate with greater speed, accuracy, and reliability across mission-critical industries.

Previously, Barry served as CEO of Party City, where he was brought in to turn around the financially struggling retailer and enhance the customer experience. For six years, Barry was the CEO of Global Industrial Company (NYSE: GIC), transforming the $1.3B distributor into a top ten leader in industrial supplies. He implemented the Accelerating the Customer Experience strategy. Under his leadership, Global Industrial served over 1M customers across manufacturing, transportation, retail, and healthcare, and acquired Indoff in May 2024.

At GIC, Barry ignited employee engagement and built a world-class management team. He revitalized the brand, enhanced the online experience, strengthened direct sales, and expanded the North American distribution network. These efforts drove revenue, profit, and share price growth, earning Best Places to Work certification.

Prior to this, Barry was the CEO of Adorama, where he turned around this iconic omnichannel retailer of professional cameras, photo-finishing services, and consumer electronics. By implementing the FOCUS strategy, he aligned initiatives to enhance customer experience and revitalize financial, marketing, merchandising, operational, and cultural practices. Under his leadership, Adorama achieved double-digit growth in revenue, profit, and market share.

Barry also held leadership roles at Sears, Office Depot, and Premier Farnell/Avnet, honing his ability to lead digitally connected, customer-centric enterprises.
